Character Creation in 3 steps

Characters are defined by 3 choices made at creation and a guild selected later. Players can be done building and start playing in minutes.
Each player simply selects a race, spell school, and weapon.
(Nonhuman player races are not available during the beta, but are fully tested and will be released with the first main set. They're just awaiting art.)
Guilds offer further depth of character advancement, and will be in the 2nd expansion

Races

Humans - The most common people of the world also has one of the shortest lifespans. Humans inhabit all parts of the world and have made contact with every other player race. They are diverse, and have the option to add +1 to their Team's Morale, +2 to their max hit points, or +1 to their movement.

Bird Maiden- An angelic race of winged humanoids that can descend from heights safely and glide off buildings or ledges.

Naiads – Called undine in some parts of the world, these water spirits protect bodies of water. Only remove them in presence of family members. Can breath underwater, and have swim speed equal to their land speed. Their native language, Aquian, sounds like playful laughter to humans.

Dryads – Common in temperate hardwood forests all over the world. Hair color changes with the season and is usually green in summer. Continue growing throughout their lifetime, young adults are just over 5 feet, reach 6 feet by middle age, and can grow up to 7 feet in old age. Rather than die, they fall asleep and become a tree, growing immense for hundreds of years. Thousands of such trees living in the world and if a forest is in danger they will awaken as Treents to protect it.

Frost Fauns – From the arctic boreal forests . Taller than humans 6-7ft tall with antlers, furry ears, and hooves. Blue, black or dark brown hair with pale skin. High amount of gender dimorphism. Males are larger, stocky and have huge Ram or Elk horns. Females are slender and graceful with gazel or deer horns or none at all.

Sun Elves – Lives in Tropical Rainforests, especially on islands. Tanned skin and yellow hair. Capricious, whimsical, and vain, they worship the sun, and believe it to be the center of the solar system.

Moon Elves - Lives in temperate evergreen rainforests – blue , purple or grey skin, and white hair, sometimes streaked with blue, purple or grey. Nocturnal by nature, but not limited in the daylight. They can see in the dark.

Tanooki- Diminutive Racoon-like race that can turn into statues at will. Standing between 3 and 4 feet in height they are the first small sized playable race.

Naga are a serpentine race. They have snake-like lower half with humanoid head and torso. They cannot be knocked down, can stand from prone without using any movement, and have tremor sense within 10 feet

Oni - Trolls with the power to regenerate lost limbs.
If an Oni character is hit with a critical strike, they take no damage, but lose an arm or a leg for the remainder of the battle. With only one arm, melee weapons lose special abilities. With only one leg, speed becomes 1.

Guilds

Guilds replace "Classes" that are a mainstay of Fantasy RPGs.
Players do not choose a guild upon character creation, but may join one later by first completing a quest for their guild.
They provide advancement through additional guild quests rather than using experience points. As characters progress up the ranks in their guild they unlock new abilities.
A number of guild features were tested during the Alpha, but are not available for Beta testing at this time. We hope to offer guilds as the 2nd expansion for Age of Exploration
